WhatsApp to stop support for BlackBerry device,Nokia S40,S60,Andriod 2.0,Window7.1 and iOS6

Gone are the days when BlackBerry use to be a premium device which everybody wants. Not just only Andriod that ends the reign of BlackBerry but just as predicted, WhatsApp which has overtaken BBM has taken a decision to stop support on BlackBerry device including BlackBerry 10 device, Nokia S40 S60, Andriod 2.0 and 2.1,Window7.1 and iOS6 at end of end of Dec 2016.

In a statement released by WhatsApp team 

"If you use one of these affected mobile devices, we recommend upgrading to a newer Andriod running OS 2.3+, a windows phone 8+,or an iPhone running iOS7+ before the end of 2016 to continue using WhatsApp" 

The question is that while is WhatsApp stopping support on the whole of BlackBerry device? whereas WhatsApp is only stopping support on old version of other smartphones OS. For instant Andriod 2.0 and 2.1,Window 7.1 are all old OS.Is WhatsApp suggesting BlackBerry is a gone for good OS?. This shows the end of BlackBerry is at hand.

If you are still one of the affected device I suggest that you should backup your chat to your email because by 1st Jan 2017 you won't the able to access WhatsApp on affected device.
